Overview
The Beretta USA 92FS in 9mm Luger is a DA/SA hammer-fired semi-automatic pistol with a 4.9" chrome-lined black Bruniton steel barrel and a 15+1 capacity. The aluminum alloy frame and serrated steel slide both carry a black Bruniton finish. Overall length is 8.5" and weight is 33.3 oz. Grips are black polymer with a beavertail. Manufactured in the USA.
The 92FS operates on a short-recoil, delayed-blowback system. Its open-top slide is designed to reduce jamming and stove-piping, and also allows single rounds to be manually loaded if needed. The rear sight includes a forward projection that can be used to rack the slide one-handed in an emergency.
