Overview
The Smith & Wesson Model 586 Classic in .357 Magnum / .38 Special +P is a double-action/single-action L-Frame revolver with a 4" blued carbon steel barrel, matching blued carbon steel frame and cylinder, and a 6-round capacity. The exposed hammer allows both DA and SA operation.
Sighting is provided by a red ramp front sight and an adjustable white outline rear sight. Wood grips and an internal lock round out the feature set on this classic-configuration revolver.
