Overview
The Springfield Armory DS Prodigy in 9mm Luger is a single-action, hammer-fired semi-automatic pistol that combines a 1911-pattern forged steel frame with a double-stack polymer grip module. The 4.25" forged steel barrel is paired with an AOS-equipped optic-ready slide, allowing direct mounting of popular red dot sights via interchangeable plates, each of which integrates a rear sight. Capacity is 17+1 rounds. This Gear Pac configuration ships with a Viridian RFX11 green dot optic, four magazines, and a pistol bag.
Additional features include an ambidextrous thumb safety, a fiber optic front sight, and a Picatinny accessory rail.
