Overview
The Glock 17 Gen 5 is a full-size, striker-fired semi-automatic handgun chambered in 9mm Luger, manufactured in Austria. It features a 4.49" Glock Marksman Barrel, an nDLC black slide, matte black polymer frame, and measures 7.95" overall at 22.22 oz unloaded. The Gen 5 frame removes finger grooves and adds a flared magwell and front frame cutout to support faster reloads.
Ambidextrous controls include a reversible enlarged magazine catch and ambidextrous slide stop lever. The barrel's rifling and crown were updated in this generation for consistent shot placement.
