Overview
The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy in 9mm Luger is a hammer-fired, single-action semi-automatic pistol built on the double-stack 1911 platform. It features a 5" forged stainless steel bull barrel with an 11-degree crown, forged carbon steel frame and slide, and an 8.6" overall length at 32.5 oz, finished in Coyote Brown Cerakote throughout.
The Prodigy uses the AOS (Agency Optic System) with interchangeable plates and an integrated rear sight for optics co-witnessing. Factory sights are a fiber optic front and serrated U-notch rear. The polymer grip module uses adaptive grip texture, and the ambidextrous extended thumb safety provides bilateral operation.
