Overview
The Springfield Armory 1911 Emissary in .45 ACP is a single-action, hammer-fired semi-automatic pistol with a 4.25" stainless steel bull barrel and 8+1 capacity. The frame is forged stainless steel with a grenade-pattern checkered grip surface, while the slide is blued carbon steel with a Tri-Top cut. Black VZ Thin-Line G10 grips complete the two-tone appearance.
The Emissary includes an ambidextrous thumb safety and a grip safety. The heavy-profile forged bull barrel is fitted without a separate bushing, which is a characteristic of the bull barrel 1911 configuration.
