Overview
The Springfield Armory XD Sub-Compact in .40 S&W is a striker-fired semi-automatic pistol built on a polymer frame with a forged steel slide. The 3" hammer-forged steel barrel carries a Black Melonite finish shared by the slide, and the pistol measures 6.25" overall at 26.0 oz. A grip safety, Ultra Safety Assurance trigger system, and firing pin block safety provide multiple layers of passive protection.
