Overview
The Springfield Armory Hellion in 5.56 NATO is a semi-automatic bullpup rifle with a 16" CMV Melonite-finished barrel. Its bullpup layout yields an overall length of just 28.25" to 29.75" while retaining the 16" barrel, and the rifle weighs 8 lbs. The 5-position adjustable stock includes a cheek riser, and the gray polymer furniture is paired with a BCMGUNFIGHTER Mod 3 grip.
The Hellion uses a 2-position adjustable short-stroke piston gas system and features a proprietary Melonite-finished bolt carrier group. Integrated flip-up front (elevation adjustable) and rear (5-position aperture, windage adjustable) sights are built in. All controls, including the charging handle and safety, are fully ambidextrous.
