Overview
The Springfield Armory Echelon in 9mm Luger is a full-size, striker-fired semi-automatic pistol built around a serialized stainless steel chassis. It features a 4.5" hammer-forged steel barrel with Black Melonite finish, an 8" OAL, and a 24 oz unloaded weight. The black polymer grip module includes a Picatinny accessory rail and houses the stainless steel chassis as the serialized component.
A patent-pending Variable Interface System (VIS) on the slide allows direct mounting of a wide range of red dot optics without adapter plates. The pistol is fully ambidextrous.
