Overview
The Springfield Armory Hellion in 5.56 NATO is a semi-automatic bullpup-configuration rifle with a 16" CMV Melonite barrel and a 1:7" twist rate. Its bullpup layout places the action behind the trigger group, resulting in an overall length of 28.25"–29.75" while retaining a full 16" barrel. The rifle weighs 8 lbs and is finished in Desert FDE.
The Hellion features a 2-position adjustable short-stroke piston gas system, fully ambidextrous safety and charging handle, a 5-position adjustable stock with cheek riser, integrated flip-up front and rear sights, and a polymer M-Lok handguard for accessory attachment.
